The AI-authorship suspicion is the story — a widely-shared piece about irreplaceable human judgment that readers immediately suspected was generated, and couldn’t definitively prove either way. That’s a sharper, funnier version of the point the essay was trying to make, and exactly the kind of uncomfortable implication the newsletter likes to sit with. If you’d rather not amplify possibly-generated content, skip it — but it’s the most self-aware story on the list.

There’s a strong three-story security arc this week that would carry the issue on its own: Mythos social-engineering a real maintainer (attacker capability) → Atlassian Rovo (the injection vector, in enterprise tools readers use daily) → the 40k-run approval study (why the human in the loop doesn’t save you). Colin’s line from #52 — “at the very least make sure you limit the amount of destructive actions your agent can take” — is the thread tying all three together, and the Mythos framing debate is a direct callback to the #54 “rogue AI” correction.
